I selected Europe as the only region I want to install on my device.
However, GE keeps insisting on informing me that I can put additional maps onto the device- is there any way to remove this prompt?

This has been escalated with new Express logs on the latest version. I will update this thread when I have more information to share.
This is still an open ticket and I apologize for the lack of info. I understand it is frustrating to hear "we are still working on it" over and over, but it is also frustrating to hear nothing back.…
For folks seeing this issue in Express, could any of you provide a screenshot of what you're seeing exactly?
There is a lot of good description in the thread already, but I'm just looking for any additional…
Same issue here – super annoying.
Garmin Express informs me again and again that 5 item need to be updated. After successful download (either one or all five) the update(s) are applied. Then the…
I have called Garmin Support it's an issue with Garmin Express, I was told it should be fixed in the next GE update.
Seeing this as well. Tells me I have 5 maps to update. Over and over.
Had a similar issue with unending map updates but nothing happening.
Looked into the manage maps options and when selecting the two maps installed (by default, the device arrived with Europe and US installed) for update, seemingly wasn't enough space to update either, let alone both. Used the manage maps options to remove both maps, unplug-reboot-reconnect, then used manage maps to install both updated maps. Slow as hell install later and after a quick unplug-reboot-reconnect GE isn't indicating map updates as before so problem seems solved.
There must be a simple solution so that the device doesn't think that it has to (even temporarily) store both the both old and updated versions of maps when updating which seems to at least in this instance been the source of the problem.
Thanks. I’ll give that ago.
I'm in exactly the same position. It did work with deleted maps, but doesn't now.
I just updated to Garmin Express 7.2.2.0 and I still can't update the maps on my Garmin 1030 Plus. I can't event goto "Manage Maps" or "View Details". If I press "Install" I get a prompt telling me the update could take several hours and to not unplug my device, after accepting I go back to the beginning "Map Updates Available". So frustrating.
The Garmin's software version is 4.00
This is exactly what I was experiencing - but based on this and the other similar thread, I'd say my solution is in the proceed at risk box as it appears there's a bit of variation in outcome folk are getting after going down the map uninstall/reinstall route.
maybe you find here te solution
Same here. Can’t update maps through Garmin connect Mac
There is a new version for the Mac 7.3.0.0
