Garmin Express- continued prompts to update maps

I selected Europe as the only region I want to install on my device. 

However, GE keeps insisting on informing me that I can put additional maps onto the device- is there any way to remove this prompt?

    We have an upcoming update to Garmin Express that is due very soon that is resolving a separate map installation issue. I am confirming internally if this will be addressed as well, and will respond here when I have confirmation or not. That should be today.

    I just received a reply to my email to NL support. They recognized the problems I described and they promised a  new version release of GE before the end of this month; resolving the problems. Let's hope for the best

    They told me to be on the look out for the new version on the 17th... tomorrow

    The updates has not resolved my map installation issue. The behavior is the same as bevor.

    New version of Express installed. 7.3.1

    Exactly the same issues as before.

    On the one hand it's no big deal because I'm not going anywhere any time soon it'd seem (due to Covid). But on the other hand it's an extremely expensive device to have a basic issue that Garmin don't seem to be doing much about it. Some users have been affected with the issue for over 8 months and I just don't think that's acceptable. I'm a huge Garmin Edge fan having had one since 2008, and regularly update to the latest. My personal blogs about advanced route planning on the Edge attract a huge amount of attention. I regularly tell people that Garmin is the way to go. However, this latest situation just makes me want to recommend anything that isn't a Garmin product.

    And the really annoying thing is, if they just let us download the map files, they just need to be copied onto the device. That's literally what we're talking about... a bug that revolves around copying files onto a USB memory stick. Seriously, it's not exactly leading edge computing!

    Hi,

    I succeeded installing the maps to be updated, by installing them 1 by 1; ejecting the device and mouting the device again.
    (Device: Garmin 1030+ and GE for MAC) 

    This was not prompted by GE to do

    I was now also able to remove maps from the device

    Result of the installation on my device

    Before   (GE 7.3.0.0)                                                                         after (GE 7.3.1.0)
