Screen quality different to 1030?

I’d be interested to know How the new 1030 plus screen compares to the 1030 screen in terms of visibility and richness of colour. Is it better fullstop or the same?

Screen is more responsive but still has the same washed-out look when compared to the 530/830. It's not bad... just not as rich in colour depth.

Agreed. I originally got the 830 and just got a 1030 Plus, mostly for the bigger screen. Maybe if I hadn't originally gotten the 830 I wouldn't know any better...but seeing them side by side is truly.…

1030plus is better in sunlight, but worse in low light

Very fine description. This direct comparison shows clearly the worse display in Edges Top model of Edge series. In truth it is a shame that Garmin releases such minor quality and it woul be interesting to get an official statement of Garmin.

I also miss the colours in the cards - both the Garmin cycle map and uploaded .kmz maps show extremelx pale colours - the green of eg woods not really recognizable.

It seems that they are all the same, rather than screen lottery.
