  • Graphs of activities stats (such as cadence) should exclude outliers or be scaleable

Basically, the summary plots of things such as pace and (especailly) cadence should either 1) have scalable y-axis (such that you can zoom in to a certain spm or pace), or 2) ignore outliers that often occur when you stop for a second.

Sometimes just as my Forerunner 610 manages to find satellites, it seems to record incorrect data e.g. it recently had me cycling at 173km/h for a short…

  • Step rate while walking/hiking has irregular outliers

    BTX
    BTX

I keep noticing that during walking activities, the step rate contains short outliers that correspond to an integer multiple of the actual rate, i.e. usually short moments in which I am supposed to have walked 160 instead of 80 spm.

    This should be quite…

Well, it's never save to say always.  GPS doesn't give exact positions, a location without any error would be a rare case as it requires all the errors that are present to cancel out.  Errors outside the accuracy/precision of GPS show up as points…

Hello! Any update about this? It's a quite easy problem to fix to remove outliers from the graphs auto scaling. This shouldn't be a problem for the premium price that Garmin charges for their devices.

    Thanks!

Are you using Garmin HRM as well. My wife does not and she doesn't have any of these outliers Thinking

I understand where you're coming from, but I doubt they will make this change.

Strava, Stryd, and probably most sports platforms aimed at non-technical users do the same thing. I think the reason is users intuitively think of pace as being synonymous…

Here is a sketch of what I would like, the black line shows an ideal smoothness, along with some cropping of outlier data.

I actually think I have the answer now!  Thanks for reading lol...

Agreed it would be sensible to remove outliers in several of the graphs and maxima. I get spikes occasionally in. HR but also in pace due to GPS glitches. These should be easy to filter out.

My suggestions would include stop removing popular features (leaderboard), stop re-organising basically the same set of options thereby making it a pain to use, remember that GC is basically a data repository of users's data - so make the editing and…
