Have you removed the first device from Connect? And did you also remove the old device from the Bluetooth list of your phone ? Did you do a reset on the new watch after installing the updates?
Support said sometimes after updates those faces can have issues.
Yes this seems to happen frequently. You would think there would be some notification process where developers are told of changes that might affect their faces
