• Speed and Elevation, But No Route - Fenix

I used my Fenix 3 a little over two weeks ago in an Ironman and it recorded the data perfectly.

Yesterday I went for a short ride. The device connected to the satellites and after I pressed start showed my speed/pace and time but did not start counting…
  • RE: Problem in walking activities

I have backtracked poor accuracy in walking activity to exactly the update to 20.16. I walk the same route every weekday morning of 3.4km, and 19.41 was exact every time. In 20.16 the distance fell short of roughly 200m, despite the route plot being identical…

  • RE: App: Hiking

    Sneak peak into what's next!

In the next version, I'm working on this:

When you get close to a waypoint you marked, the watch will vibrate, and for a short time (5-10 seconds), the display will only show the distance to that waypoint.

    Any…
  • RE: Activity info.elapsedDistance has unexpected jumps

One user of my Ebike Field - Nerd Style send me REALLY strange behaviour of info.elapsedDistance . He had Fenix 5S Plus with FW 7.10.

Click here to play this video

Please check short video. On first screen there is ebike field with distance fluctuating on left-down corner of the screen…

  • RE: Critical bug- focus mode for activities that speaks actual heart rate is no longer working.

Right the spoken HR alert definitely works with the lap key, but I'm not seeing it every min. I can't test the distance as I'm sat inside but could you try setting it to say .25 of a mile and doing a short walk?

  • Comment on Open water swim activity under report distance

Found this on the Fenix 7 during a open water swim with the watch attached to a buoy. I performed analysis on the issue and I believe I found an indication of the cause: sometimes coordinates are not correctly logged in the FIT file: they appear as lat…

  • RE: Addition of NAVIC GPS and SatIQ

Fenix 7 records more accurate (longer) distance when running on trails compared to watches with the previous generation GPS chipset (e. g. Fenix 6 or original Enduro) connected to GPS+Glonass. So your watch is likely more accurate in your group. For me…

  • F6X GPS vs Suunto 9 GPS + Beidou

I was curious to test the chinese GPS, so I went for a short run with decently difficult GPS conditions : houses and small buildings around me most of the time. But at least I can run in the middle of the street. Both watches on the same arm.

    The S9 is…

    Hi,
have to say, Johns comments are pretty much spot on. These changes would make a massive difference to the interest in the vivoactive watch. It is so light compared to the 910/920 series that those with smaller wrists would snap them up. Also any of…

Now with the Beta firmware and a very short row:

    1. Garmin Connect has some random stroke rates (not the IQ one) for a few seconds.

    2. Garmin Connect shows the data (e.g. distance) for IQ but the 'normal' distance is zero. The PM version and ERG IQ…
