Buy a nylon strap, it just works (even a chinese). Problems solved.

Routing to a nearby waypoint during an activity causes the crash
Navigating with Back to Start -> Route also causes the crash.
I often get an extra 25 to 75 yards (1 to 3 laps) added during the course of a 1800 yard swim.
