I have only noticed that something was and has disappeared (I'm pretty sure I didn't use local documentation always online version).
Sure can be but in many places empty string is treated as null (e.g. properties).
Check the contacts on the watch if they still look like golden domes or if the centre has eroded away. If so, contact support. Also try a different cable.
.bclibrary actually is a folder containing the .gdb files. You can show the contents using "Show Package Contents" from the context menu.
I have the same problem on my FR745. Now I found out that backlight does not work only when metronome vibrates every second beat. But it works when metronome is set to every third beat. (note: my frequency is set to 165 beats per minute)
