When the pace exceeds the target pace during a structured workout (eg daily suggestion), the alert screen displays some average pace, not the current pace that exceeds the target and has triggered the alert.
When the pace is below the target, there is…
I don't think you'll ever get accurate current pace with GPS. Lets just say that GPS it is accurate to about 2-4 meters, so at any time with you being the center and the GPS radius pinging every second around you this could be at a distance of less…
Because GPS itself is not accurate (maybe within 5m with clear skies) it is not really possible for current pace to be accurate. You are better off using Lap Pace instead
I don't think so. Powermeter is always a requirement in order to get VO2 from Cycling. How else should Garmin determine how much effort you put into at a current pace?
The pace displayed by the Garmin Coach is your AVERAGE pace so it may take a while to change. The pace displayed on the usually first screen is your CURRENT pace
You're being a bit pedantic here IMO - it's more "instant" than averaging over a mile lap though, right?
The author's intent is pretty clear.
Maybe you'd be happier with "current pace"?
Because the current pace is unrealistic. It jumped from 8:33 to 7:33, which is definitely not my threshold and my 0% - 14% execution scores on my subsequent runs prove it.
I've always set my alert to 1 min for current pace and HR. I don't notice any lag.
The average and lap pace are the ones that are supposed to be lagging.
