What's the function and input(s) that return NaN.double (and/or -Nan.double)? You must have at least one example, since you're seeing Nan.double return from somewhere.

it works for me in the sim (windows and mac). not sure why it's crashing for you, but that does sound like a serious bug

I have a few problems with that:
1. I only have 1 pair of eyes and almost 100 device types * 2-3 screens * at least 2-3 different data field layouts

2. this adds lot of code, so this won't be possible to test the old devices that don't even have 20 bytes…
