Neither GPS location nor communication (bluetooth) is available in a watch face.
I tweaked my watchface to be an app and moved the image code from the background, and it works perfectly. At least I know it wasn't a coding problem, it was a "Garmin forbids it to work" problem once again.
I've had 1 star reviews where the text was simply gibberish removed in the past.
Maybe Garmin needs to make at least some text mandatory to post a review. I know that came up often over the last 8-9 years.
I take it this applies to the Complications API, too? That's the one I am trying to use. At least the other gives us some info (I can translate the 2 digit code). I'm just trying to add a temperature option.
Yeah I wouldn't expect it to be there since that's not a standard location for PRG files. Pretty weird.
But at least you can rule out that it's an app that's actually "installed" on your watch (i.e. available to be used.)
In the Connect IQ app (iOS), app updates are queued but never get installed if all installation slots are full. There should be a warning message at least to tell the user to uninstall one app to be able to update.
