But not all those fonts can be used on all devices with scalable fonts. BionicBold isn't on the Venu3/3s for example. At least per the sim, but from posts I've seen, it's not on the real devices either.

Brandon.ConnectIQ is there any chance to get some official word about the https requirements? A self signed less secure certificate seems to work (in the sim at least) while a vendor signed (letsencrypt) doesn't. But what are the requirements?
You can put it it Application Storage and habe the background read that. I do that with lat/lon for example. But your main app has to run at least once before the background runs to set the data.
