I am afraid i am right (again)

Look at all the anger about Connect+. It is sad, but I predicted this.

 I address myself to you to thank Garmin in general for all the support for my Garmin Marq (= irony). Local support people do not know the product (at all). After different attempts, no one at Garmin helped me to resolve my very simple problem. The stupid buckle yes. But it is symptomatic: new Marq Carbon/Damascus does not get new HR monitor, no further software updates for this "premium" product. Threads on this forum to complain about this are locked. And now the whole Connect+ saga. Although I hesitated I enrolled with the trial. At this moment, I do not see any reason to pay for this (I wonder why the Marq does not come with a free Connect+ subscription (even limited in time), but do not bother - it is not worth it).

Some good advise, do something unexpectedly generous for your existing customer base. If not, well...
