Today we started the rollout of Software Version 26.09, currently we are at 20% with this rollout and we will increase the % as time goes by.

Added Rally 110/210 Support.
Fixed an issue where setting a custom GPS configuration for certain activity profiles would not save.
Fixed an issue where text in the Solar Intensity widget was missing a proper translation.
Fixed an issue where the compass calibration tutorial video would sometimes not display.
Fixed an issue where the Daily Suggested Workout would sometimes display invalid data for the target type.
Fixed an issue where the Stages Power Meter would sometimes not pair.
Fixed an issue where the text listing the estimated Training Effect did not fit on the screen when the watch is configured to German.

Marq Aviator Gen2 update to 25.11

It has been almost a month since this update has been released and the update still isn’t available on my Garmin Connect for my watch…

I tried to connect my watch to an computer and I can’t get the computer to recognize my watch through the USB port… very frustrating…

Is Garmin still pushing this update over-the-air? (the release is sitting at 50% for the longest time now…)

MARQ AVIATOR POOR QUALITY

Good evening everyone,

I'm a Garmin fan and bought something like a dozen of watches from them.

I bought a Garmin Marq2 watch 2 years ago. Nothing to say about this watch which was fully reaching my expectations ... but I noticed after some months of using it some very slight marks on the screen. Nothing problematic, so I didn't do anything ... but realized a couple of months ago (after the 2 years warranty) that the screen was really full of marks (something like a "ghost effet" ; reminiscent of the clock image on the screen). As a result, the screen is damaged, full of marks, and I called Garmin in order to fix it.

As the warranty was over (my fault), I was ok to pay to replace this screen.

Garmin told me that the price was 700e, than told me 500e, which was shocking for me (better buy another watch for this price). Knowing that it is 2 or 3 times the cost to change a "classic" Garmin Screen, I think that Garmin position is not fair at all.

I bought a 2200e watch to get a very qualitative product. May be I was not lucky, but this is not my point : to pay twice the cost to repair it because it is a luxury product is something unbelievable; I don't understand the rational. Garmin should consider that being a luxury and expensive product, the service should be at the good level, expected for this kind of jewel.

Marq gen2 aviator display

I bought this Watch a bit more than a couple of years ago and the display is KO. A shame for this kind of expensive Watch, cause i didn’t do anything spécial. As the 2 years warranty is over, i asked Garmin to change this display. First, they asked me 814€ and finally 500€. Obviously i refused to repair m’y watch for this price.

Double shame for this company.

MARQ2 doesn't update since 23.48

I can’t update my watches. The download completes, but then nothing happens. Both methods fail - over the air and via Garmin Express. The same issue occurs when updating maps through Garmin Express.

Software crash during upgrade in Dec

Dear Garmin,

My MARQ was forced to software upgrade early last month. The software of my watched was crashed. It could not connect to my IPhone and my screen of my watches was stuck. I sent back to your repair center through your outlet.

I talked to your CS today and she told me my watches had hardware issues, or more specific was the CPU. Before the upgrade, my watches were perfectly good. I discussed with the customer service and I emphasised it did not make sense my CPU had issue before n the upgrade reflected the issues. If your Apple cell phone was down after software upgrade but it was totally good before it. Will you accept Apple to tell you that your CPU has issue?

I used Garmin gear for more than 20years n recommended more than 10 friends to use Garmin. I was totally disappointed the response from the repair center.

I hopes Garmin to further investigate the root cause n I do not have any confident on the service of Garmin.

Naps cannot be deleted - false detection

Hi Garmin,

I’m experiencing a repeatable problem with my MARQ Aviator Gen 2 also in the latest firmware (23.18).

The watch keeps detecting false naps during the day even when:

• I’m awake

• The watch is charging

• Or simply resting on the wrist with low movement

These false naps appear under Garmin Connect → Sleep → Sleep Coach → Naps.

Problems:

1. Naps cannot be deleted (neither in the app nor on the web). Unless it Is on the same day (sometimes)

2. They count toward my Training Readiness, Body Battery, and Sleep Coach, which makes the metrics inaccurate.

3. There is no setting in current firmware (23.18) to disable or fine-tune nap detection.

4. False naps happen even when gesture-based detection should not trigger.

This is highly frustrating, especially on a high-end device like the MARQ series.

Request:

• Please confirm whether this is a known bug.

• Please escalate to the firmware team.

• Please enable the ability to delete naps or disable nap detection until it is fixed.

I would be happy to share logs if needed.

Request for Wrist Detection & Password Protection on Garmin MARQ Series

Hello Garmin Team,

I am a proud owner of a Garmin MARQ series watch and truly appreciate its world-class health and activity tracking capabilities. I chose Garmin over other leading smartwatches, knowing I was trading off features like eSIM, expanded phone connectivity, and certain health integrations in exchange for your superior fitness tracking — and I’m very happy with that decision.

However, I have found one critical concern:
When the watch is removed from my wrist — whether for charging or intentionally — it does not automatically lock, nor is there an option to set a password or PIN to protect access.

This means that if my watch is misplaced or stolen, all of my personal health data, location history, and potentially even payment information (if Garmin Pay is enabled) are fully accessible to anyone. For an elite product like the MARQ series, this feels like a missing layer of basic security.

I would like to request that Garmin consider adding wrist detection and automatic lock with PIN/password protection. Many other premium smartwatch brands already use similar security measures, and adding them to the MARQ series would make it not only the best for fitness tracking, but also one of the safest devices to protect personal data.

Thank you for considering this important improvement.

23.18 pairing issue

my MARQ v2 Athlete canot pair with my Android 16 phone.

All troubeshooting done, and the watch says "waiting for phone" constantly.

Is there a workaround to get it to connect ?

Hi, it’s been over three years since the Marq 2 series was released. Here’s to hoping they will refresh the lineup. I think Marq is the classiest and goes best with more formal attire in terms of fitting under the cuff, lack of visible screws, tapered lugs, and a refined/rugged balance in terms of look. I hope they will keep the 46mm size yet increase the screen to at least 1.3, add a flashlight somehow, and LTE circuitry. I think inclusion of satellite would increase the height by too much but maybe LTE can be crammed in with minimal impact now that they have more years of chipset development completed.

Anyone else have any ideas or preferences for the next version?

P.S. Maybe it's subjective, but at the time backlight stops working - I got the feeling that buttons start working more harsh, while when the backlight works - they are felt softer...

My MARQ Commander (Gen 2) suddenly stopped working. The screen went blank. I have tried a force restart but nothing seems to work. Anyone have any experience with this? And anyone have experience with sending the watch back to the factory- I have a big race on Sunday.

Marq 2 (Adventurer) display during sleep

I have recently purchased a Marq 2 Adventurer and love it. I’ve had a F7Sss for a few years and still use it for running. The Marq 2 is the primary device as I wanted something more formal. The question I have is about the display during sleep. I am used to the display of the F7Sss being dim, but on, while sleeping. It seems that the Marq 2 screen goes dark and will wake on touch. Is there a way to have the Marq screen be on (but dim…I had the F7Sss set to 10%) while sleep or is this an AMOLED thing to be on or off?

Garmin Marq 3 Scuba Diving feature coming?

I am a long time scuba diver and still enjoy my Garmin Descent MK1 daily. Since I got it in 2019 I've put almost 500 dives on it across the world with outstanding performance and software support. I would like to upgrade to a Marq series "Captain" for the looks and quality as a daily wearer. Does anyone have any information that the Gen 3 Marq series may support "scuba diving" a'la Fenix 8 watches? It seems to me that the "Captain" Marq series should offer the ability to go diving. My Descent MK1 is awesome, but, I want the Omega SeaMaster vibe the "Captain" Marq series gives off.

Marq 2 Aviator Update Problems - System Software 23.18

I Marq Aviator Gen 2 Smart Watch.

After yesterday's update to System Software 23.18 the watch OS works incredibly slowly and freezes.

It doesn't track any steps either.

Does anyone else have this problem or is there a known problem with this specific update?

I just started using mine for boogie boarding / body surfing. Today in particular, there were some pretty good smack downs and dragging through sand…had me wondering whether this is an acceptable use case outside warranty for a MARQ owner who doesn’t have money to burn?

Read in the forums mixed reports about the Fenix 7 holding up to surfing. a lot of grumbling about inaccuracy as well

Altitude incorrect as of June 21

Somewhere between June 21 and July 25 something has caused the altitude to be incorrect on my Marq Athlete.

The first image is from June 21 .. As you can see it is pretty flat. And the same route on July 25 and suddenly I have a 40m descent or something. And as of that time my altitude is incorrect. Someone else experiencing this? I have done the altitude calibration but that doesn't seem to help.

I have old Garmin watch and was thinking about upgrading it. I really liked the MARQ® Athlete (Gen 2) - Performance Edition but it’s sold out everywhere. Does anyone know if Garmin is planning to make more of those, or was it just limited edition and that’s it? Thanks in advance.
