Hi
Anyone else noticed the numbers on the inner bezel on the MARQ Captain (Gen 2), makes no sense. No help in manuel either.
They goes like this: 10 - 14 - 16 - 15 - 17 - 19 - 25 - 21 - 19 - 17 - I - 09
@Garmin?

@Garmin?
If these instructions given do not make sense, you are welcome to send me a Private Message and I will be happy to learn more for you but it will take time.
When the MARQ (Gen 2) Captain was released,…
The inner display numbers represent the wind in knots for sailing only. When the color turns from white to turquoise, it represents more ideal conditions to sail. The wind speed for ideal sailing is a setting…
Update: the colors of the numbers on the inside bezel do make sense: when you go into this watch face settings, you can adjust preferred wind speed. The colors pick up this setting. So if you set it to…
The marketing page mentions Regatta Timer Markings. It also mentions pairing with a Garmin charting device. You’d have to google it I suppose. But those numbers aren’t there all the time.
My numbers are all over the place - and the ring turns turquoise in areas. Without being able to deduce anything from any instructions, it appears to me that this may be a wind speed/direction indicator? If it is, not sure how practical it is, since I'm not sure where it's pulling the data from for it to be relevant. After three days of ownership I'm liking the watch but the learning curve (coming from Apple) is STEEP.
Is there a definitive answer for this? No information on the details of this watch face can be found :/
Regarding anything internal along the bezel that is on the AMOLED display, I will be happy to find out.
Yes the marking on blue bezel going from 1 -> 10 is regatta timer, It even says so on the bezel. But the numbers that is on default watch face "10 - 14 - 16 - 15 - 17 - 19 - 25 - 21 - 19 - 17 - I - 09" that can be seen on the marketing pictures is not regatta timer markings. What are they?
Here’s an image of the what we’re trying to get an answer on - as noted, it is the inner ring of (now) turquoise numbers. They change throughout the day and are gray’d out from time to time
it is the inner ring of (now) turquoise numbers
Thank you for the picture. It will help lead us to an answer but at the moment, it looks like a nice shade of turquoise. Once I have a solid answer, I will be happy to let everyone know.
The inner display numbers represent the wind in knots for sailing only. When the color turns from white to turquoise, it represents more ideal conditions to sail. The wind speed for ideal sailing is a setting you can adjust on your watch.
Thank you. Can you provide more detail? For example why do only part of the numbers change colors (the whole ring doesn’t change) and what do the numbers going around the ring signify? If it is all wind, what is the source of the data?
The sections around your bezel are representing the next hour. Each section that turns turquoise represents those periods of time that are ideal wind conditions for you when sailing.
The data is broadcast across the internet so your watch must be Bluetooth paired, connected to your Connect Mobile APP, and your phone within cellular internet range so the wind report can be pushed to your watch from the Connect Mobile APP.
