Instinct 2S Solar crashing randomly

Hi,

yesterday my watch crashed during trail running and then couple of minutes after the activity. The latest crash was last night and I lost sleep data. Is this software or hardware issue?

I have the same problems. Not during activities, but several times a day. I only noticed the missing HR graph..

There are more of us here. Some bug in FW. If you do a soft reset, it's quiet for at least a week.

My watch is back at Garmin. They contacted me that there is a software bug that is affecting all APEC models. We will hear soon if there is a fix or I get a refund. Not in the mood to wait for the 9.x release in October/November.

Crash on my Instinct 2S APAC 8.66 as well. Had one this morning after waking up. Sleep data and score are recorded, but I’m unable to see stress, HR or body battery values on Garmin Connect while I was sleeping. Crash happened when:
1) Turned off battery saver mode

2) manually ended the sleeping mode (through the glance)

3) watch rebooted

To be honest, coming from an Apple Watch and having so many random crashes on the I2 is quite frustrating. Especially when data are lost.

It takes a while to sync sleep to GC. I have this problem too. I think its due to the chart having to be rendered in the GC app after the raw data is sent from the watch to GC, to GC servers, then back down the GC. I could be wrong though.

What is your data screen for running? I found I set Layout 5 Fields always crashed during running, So I deleted it and set a new Layout 4 Fields including HR/ Timer/ Distance/ Time of Day. It is stable without any crashing. I think it's a software issue. My Version is 8.66
