backlight gesture still works although it is OFF (@Garmin - Chris)

I have just received my brand new Instinct 2 Solar but I am frankly a little bit disappointed with the glitches I am experiencing in a high-priced smart watch.

The most annoying one is the backlight gesture feature. I am turning it "OFF" for all settings (activities and general use), however the backlight is still turning on when I tilt or move my wrist. I have seen that some other users are experiencing the same problem and I wanted to raise this issue again to raise awareness.

The v8.04 Beta refers to the issue being fixed. It will be part of the next official software release.

I now realised it is linked with the "normal bed time" setting under user profile. the backlight turns on with gesture during the "normal bed time". if you set your bed time and wake time for the same hour, the backlight doesn't turn on with gesture. but this is a work around of the problem. this is not a sustainable solution.

in the same idea can you fix this, or is it unchangeable?

this would be more simple to add the same choices of the "general use" backlight options to the sleep time section.

I messaged Chris. I *think* the fix is in the next FW that's migrating out. At least I hope so.

You will side load the Beta software to your watch using the instructions given towards the bottom of the Beta post.
