The Fenix 8 even crashed just laying on the table over night. Very annoying.
After you encounter a crash:
- Open the Main Menu on your watch when it is not connected to the computer.
- From the Main Menu, Select "Watch Settings" and then "System."
- From the System menu, open the About page.
- On the About page, repeatedly press the Power/CTRL/Light button. After 8+ presses of the Power button, a new hidden Support Menu will appear.
- From this hidden Support Menu, select Reinstall Software
Sorry, didn't resolved my problem. Device still keeps crashing.

I am having exactly the same issue, worked fine before the update!
I received an exchange device four days ago. Till now no crashes, everything is fine with fw 13.35
only difference is, that I never tried a beta fw on the new one.
Did you have to pay near enough the cost of a new device as a deposit until you got your new device?
I got offered a new device but on the grounds I pay a £600 deposit until they receive my old one, I don't think there is anything wrong with the watch itself it is the software that has been installed and a FW patch would resolve.
Also I was unaware that I have/had the BETA, I have not signed up to test it.

So normally I love Garmin watches, my whole family and even our horse has a Garmin device . We have/had fenix5, fenix6, venue 2, venue3, forerunner235, forerunner 255, vivoactiv4 and they all run without issues since years. Hopefully this is also the case with my replaced fenix8
This is my 4th Garmin bit of kit all the others have been top notch and never missed a beat. Hopefully it’s gets resolved soon.
