13.31 bug body battery and stresswidget

Introduced with software 13.xx is a bug that sometimes the historical body battery graphs and historical stress disappear on the watch.

In garmin connect everything is fine.

To reproduce this bug you can try the following:

- turn the watch the watch off during the night

- the next morning turn it on and wear it for, let´s say, 1 hour so that that graphs begin to show

- start a gps-activity, for example: running, for about 5 sec. and save it or dismiss it

- the graph-history should be gone

In this way i can reproduce this bug nearly erverytime.

About this bug is many times written in the beta forum and tstill not fixed:

  • I have also noticed this after having just updated to 13.31.

I checked through glances and charts on the watch before after updating and everything seemed fine - bits of data missing for the time taken to update and when I took the watch off earlier on today (as I expected).

Shortly after the update and checking the glances I did a meditation activity for 10 mins completed fine, the meditation end screen showed a chart of my stress during the activity.

Now stress history in glances on watch has disappeared from the stress glance and body battery glance and only seems to plot data since the meditation activity.

My first indication that there was a problem is having no data for stress at all on my watch face.

I haven’t been able to reproduce this in the small amount of time I’ve been on the firmware but turning the watch off and then back on seemed to restore the data in the body battery and stress glances on the watch that had previously vanished.

  • I confirm this, and development team just totally ignored it throughout this 13 beta cycle

  • I can confirm this is happening to me also.

  • Is there no proper bugtracker for those issues? I can not believe that the team is tracking the issues by reading the forum, are they?

I got the watch in December and there were deal breaking bugs which are still present with the latest firmware 13.31.
I trusted Garmin as a company which will iron out all flaws over time and decided to not return it.
It is really a shame as the hardware is really nice and I like the watch in general.

  • Hello,

I am sorry to hear you are having this issue. For this, I would love to collect some specifics of this, so we can get this concern reported to our engineers. I will reach out to each of you via Private Message to discuss this.

  • And again Garmin pretends to never ever have heard of that before. The term "love to collect some specifics of this, so we can get this concern reported to our engineers" seems to mean absolutely nothing but an occupational therapy for unsatisfied customers. Other than that, nothing seems to happen to well known issues. Selling numbers on the watches seem to be too good to really invest some serous work?

    • This is a very known bug introduced in the beta software and was the main reason I want back to stable software update, but now I realize this still are a huge problem.

  • You are right- Turning the watch off and then back on seems to restore the data in the body battery and stress glances on the watch that had previously vanished.

This schould be an easy fix!

  • Anche io ho lo stesso problema, non mi compaiono più i grafici body battery e stress  sul dispositivo dopo aver spento l'orologio ma sono presenti su connect.

  • I also have same problem on Enduro 3 after updated to 13.31. Watch only can show pass few hours or less on stress app and body battery app.  But garmin connect on mobile can show as usual.
