Hello. I am sorry to hear you are having this issue. Our engineers have identified an issue that may crashing/rebooting when navigating or using the map. They are anticipating a fix for this to be introduced…
It is a problem with a faulty GPE file. Fenix/Epix series can be fixed without hard reset. - Connect the watch to the computer - Hard power down the watch by holding the light/power key for ~30 seconds…
Yes. The same happens here. I’ve tried to do a soft reset, but now my watch is stuck in a loading maps loop where after the maps are loaded, it says ‘checking maps’ and then powers off to a blue triangle…
Same here. My watch is looping through the following sequence: blue triangle - Fenix 8 animated logo - checking maps - power off - blue triangle - Fenix 8 animated logo, etc etc.
I've tried powering the…
I think Garmin should thoroughly check their quality management. How can such an obvious bug breaking the core functionality of their flagship product be rolled out to all customers?
Other Garmin devices were affected too, not only the flagship product.
Which makes this incident even more embarrassing IMHO.
Both my brand new Fenix8 and my Epix Gen 2 pro are crashing when staring a GPS activity. It looks like a global problem...
Even worse here!:I tried to fix this by setting the watch back to factory settings. Now it is in a reboot-loop. For 5 hours and counting. As soon as it reaches "Loading map" the restart ignites again.
It is therefore invisible for other devices through the network. I fear, it will not be possible to fix it via software . And I really need it :(
Even worse here: I tried to fix it by putting it back to factory settings and now it is in a reboot loop. Shortly after the Fenix 8 logo appers it tries to load maps and this reignites a restart.
Which means, it remains invisible over the network - for my phone or notebook.
And in turn can probably not be fixed via software.
And I really need the wath the next couple days.
i have tried connect garmin fenix watch to the iphone after hard reset and it looks like that watch is still stable .. well honestly will not to try activity once fix will be verified by Garmin ...
Same here, my Forerunner 255 crashed with a short lunch walk in the park. After resetting the watch it is working again, but all watch settings and face config are gone. Luckely all history is still there in Connect. I will/need to restore watch settings manually when this worldwide bug is fixed. Hopefully they will releasing a new update asap to fix this! In the meantime, no activities for me. I am going to sue Garmin for not burning my calories. :)
Same sht… 8 1100 $ for
Garmin is a piece of ***. That's the end of our relationship. Fancy over expensive Toys. Nothing more.
