Compatibility between the Fenix 8 Amoled 51mm and the Approach CT1 sensor pack?

Hi,

Will there be a compatibility between the Fenix 8 AMOLED 51mm and the Approach CT1 sensor pack?
Currently only Approach S70, S44 and S50 watches are compatible with this pack.
I wanted to buy his sensors, but without certainty, I try in vain to find an answer.

Best regards

  • I understand completely from the end of those wanting compatibility with the CT-1 sensors on wearable devices outside of the Approach watches that currently only pair with them.

It is worth noting that the Approach CT-1 (although a newer product) does not offer the multiple features for automated club tracking, scoring, shot distance averaging, nor the club performance stats that the Approach CT-10 exclusively offers...as the CT-1 sensors only allow club tracking, by assigning the shot prior to swinging with RF through the screen tap.

There are no other features outside of club tracking that are offered with Ct01, and all current Outdoor Wearable products (fenix 8, epix Gen 2, MARQ, Tactix, Enduro, Instinct 3) all feature club club tracking with the AutoShot and Club  Prompt features that can be enabled in the golf activity settings. The only difference with club prompt vs using the CT-1 sensors, is that the watch is prompting you to select the club type to assign to the shot after the shot has been taken...where the CT-1 sensors require you to squarely tap the sensor on the watch face prior to taking the shot to assign the club.

  • Hi Cody

There are two reasons that people may consider the CT1 over the CT10, at least from my perspective:

    1. Cost - The Ct1 is considerably cheaper for a full set

    2. Durability - There have been ongoing issues with durability on the CT10, hence the reason I won't invest in them considering how costly they are until Garmin come up with a more durable replacement.

  • Appreciate the details. You've convinced me to return the CT1s as well. Hopefully Garmin will soon release a 2nd gen CT10 in the CT1 form factor.
