Can’t seem to calibrate Fenix 8 buttons using the file

Hi everyone and hope you are all having a merry Christmas. 

I’ve been trying to calibrate the buttons and have not have much luck with having the key calibration file work on my Fenix 8 as per the instructions in previous threads. I’m on Mac and after creating the file inside the watch through connecting it to my computer, and disconnecting it, no key calibration popup occurs prompting me to press the buttons.

    It does,but it's a pretty easy fix once you know what you are doing.I only had one button that was bad the rest were ok.

    • The only issue I have now is the hourly alert sound and vibrate has stopped working so it must be a firmware issue but I'm unsure when it stopped working so I wouldn't know which firmware it stopped on.

    Yeah its a pretty easy fix but im sure the majority of F8 owners who experience this issue are just straight up returning the watch and seeing it as a hardware failure instead of looking for a slightly more complex fix to the issue. And this is just bad for Garmin in my opinion – not a good look by their QA.

    I don't personally use the hourly alert so I wouldn't know if there is an issue there but hopefully they address more bugs in the next update soon...

    Worked for me after having the "down" button act randomly. Thank you the for the more in-depth explanation!! Thumbsup

    Worked for me here too, thankfully. After how disappointing the buttons were on my Epix gen 2 I was looking forward to decent buttons again and I found that the back button was really unresponsive. Followed this guide and now it's fine but why even have to do this??

    I have done this 2 times and my

    watch is still malfunctioning. Essentially during showers or hand washing. Multiple

    other tomes battery went from 80% to dead within a few hours? My Fenix 6 outshines this early so far Disappointed
