ConnectIQ watch faces timeout too fast - 9-10 seconds instead of 15 seconds

Hi!

In case watch display timeout is set to 15 seconds then ConnectIQ watch faces switch to AOD mode after just about 9 or 10 seconds. Some (the ones that try to draw basically the same image in AOD mode, for example, this one: apps.garmin.com/.../43ad29a2-10c7-4478-943e-bcdd73c700a7) switch to AOD mode in two steps - after 9-10 seconds the screen stops updating, after about 5-6 seconds more, brightness is reduced.

There is no such issue with 4 or 8 seconds timeouts - they behave as expected. Stock Garmin watch faces behave correctly not only with 4 and 8, but with 15 as well. This is clearly a Garmin bug and it seems to be the same (or very similar) to the one that was (or still?) affecting Epix Gen 2: https://forums.garmin.com/outdoor-recreation/outdoor-recreation/f/epix-2/335828/watch-faces-go-to-sleep-too-quickly-buggy-after-13-22

This is extremely annoying. In effect instead of 4, 8 and 15 seconds we get 4, 8 and... 9???

This happens with *all* third party watch faces. 99.99% this is Garmin bug. BTW, Garmin admits this in the Epix Gen 2 thread above.

The developer of the watch face is responsible to make sure it works correctly with your device. Unless Garmin was the developer, you need to contact them.

What's the timeout of the watch face and opened glance widget during an activity?

Garmin is responsible for providing a bug free and well documented platform before they can do that.

It happens also when not using AOD. Every maybe 7 times the watch goes in AOD mode for 2 seconds before display is off. Very annoying!

Has anyone heard of any progress on this? I have tried 2 custom faces that I really like and have low power consumption but both timeout in 10 seconds when on the 15 second setting. I can't understand why this would be on the never-plan to fix. Has anyone experienced a 3rd party watch face that lasts the entire 15 seconds?
