I’ve set up my Fenix 8 to lock the device using the Back + Light button combination. However, once the watch is locked, pressing any other button for 2 sec unlocks it again. This makes the button lock useless, as accidental button presses can still unlock the device.
On my previous Epix Gen 2, this worked differently: only the specific button combination would unlock the device. Is there a way to adjust the unlock behavior so that only the set combination works? I’d like to know if this can be configured through settings or if it could be addressed in a future update.
Other models have this functionality, and it’s essential for me since I often wear gloves and rely heavily on a reliable button lock. If any button can unlock it, the feature becomes pointless. I’ve noticed on forums that others are experiencing the same issue.
Already reached out to support, they closed my ticket after 1 day with a link to a "feature request" form..
