Update March 24, 2025: Our engineers are still investigating a concern with the AOD remaining active when disabled in battery saver settings. I will update here, once there are further updates.
Update March 24, 2025:
Our engineers have indicated that there is a fix for an issue that may cause the battery saver display to show overlapping or missing time. This was included with the 13.31 SW update…
Update December 20, 2024:
Our engineers are aware of the a concern that may cause the time to overlap or disappear, while in battery saver mode. This is being investigated for a software solution.
There are 2 bugs here. First one:
- The low power watch face is broken: likely the time is there but the font is also black
- You should be able to keep your current watch face in Battery Saver settings…

- You should be able to keep your current watch face in Battery Saver settings instead of the low power one
The second one is a bigger issue that goes beyond Battery Saver. All the power management logic is broken so this bug also applies to activity power mode:
- System Always On Display settings override the power modes settings (should be the other way around)
- Notice that if you have AOD on on your watch and turn on battery saver (by default AOD should be off in Battery Saver mode) you’ll still have AOD
Yeah AOD and power modes are a mess, even with last firmware. Something reality basic has still not been fixed in the latest release :(
Still the same in V12.35, come on Garmin

Hi!
It’s been two months and the battery saver is still not working properly…
On my watch the battery saver is configured to turn off AOD, but the screen remains on all the time… When is this going to be fixed?
Thanks!
Hm, it's the same for me - I have AOD = ON normally and configured AOD = OFF when battery saver turned ON but screen remains turned on

Just to confirm that on 15.22 beta it's not fixed yet.
