F8 titanium wirstband scratch very easily

Hello,

I have a F8 47 mm. full titanium. I noticed that the band, in particular on the swivel closure, scratches very very easily.

My former Epix titanium bezel was very resistant, no scratches in 1 year of use. My Apple Watch Ultra didn't get any scratches despite an harsh use.

Now I'm concerned about the quality of this titanium (which grade is it?) since at this price (1300€) it should be a perfect sportswatch.

Did you noticed easy sratches on your Fenix 8 titanium?

Yes very disappointing here as well, very easy to scratch. So we have both in this expensive watch ... totally buggy software and poor titanium quality.

Titanium is available in various qualities. Garmin does not specify which grade of hardness they use. Presumably it is grade 2, which is much softer than grade 5 titanium, which Apple uses.
What color was your Epix? If it was dark, the titanium was additionally protected with the DLC coating. The light watches do not have this protection.

On a positive note - the softer the titanium the easier it is to buff out scratches.

Same here. It's my first Garmin watch and I am a bit disappointed in that regard. Haven't even used it much for outdoor sports, just a bit of mountain biking and 24/7 use as a normal watch. Wonder how it will look after one year of use?

Definitely. Very disappointed. Stopped wearing it and mover to rubber band

But this one seems to have some semi matt coating. If you do you get glossy areas.

There is no specific F8 titanium bracelet. It is the Vented Bracelet released since the Fenix 6.
Great bracelet ! Easy to keep as new in a matter of second.

I have been using many 22mm/26mm bracelets and bands for many years now.

Titanium Grade 2 used by Garmin is a soft metal but so easy to turn back as new.

For the 51mm quoting Gaijing:
The best Titanium bracelet is the band designed for the Descent Mk1 (Descent Mk1 PART NUMBER 010-12580-00). It has a safety closure on the clasp and lies perfectly flat when worn - very comfortable.
It is the one I use on my Fenix 8 51mm. Great match and zero marks (I used to wear it with my Epix Pro 51mm and it is pristine after more than a year of daily use.)

Thanks, I will buy one of those sponges and try to remove the scratches.

By the way: does the tip work with bezel too?

And... Is the sapphire glass really scratch resistant? When I used the Epix, I protected it with a third party tempered glass.

What is important is the lengthwise polish, has also protected my Saphire Glass but no scratches on this Protection. Yes Works also on bezel for me.

I ordered cloths from Amazon for the final polish. cape cod, hope can I say here?!
