The Fenix 8 seems to be missing the “Auto Key Lock” during activity. There is a screen lock, but not the keys.
I used this for all activities on my Fenix 7 to avoid accidentally stopping/pausing/lapping during an activity.

Nice one!! I just created a shortcut too. It's an annoying solution, but it works. Hopefully the option to auto lock during activity gets added back

I just got the Fenix 8, have tested it for a few CrossFit workout. It did not work well as I wear grips on my wrist and they will press and hold the start/stop button. Hence, my workout recording was stopped and started multiple times, although I have assigned the down key to lock/unlock. Unfortunately all keys can unlock, not just the assigned lock key. This is a dealbreaker for sure, for me the watch is unusable for CrossFit and I will sell it - how disappointing
