Thanks for the answers. I am struggling to choose which models to go with. I am currently using the carbon grey F7X, but I love the orange side protector. I’m just wondering how much more scratch-resistant the DLC coating is compared to the normal titanium one.

One addition : the British Garmin website is obviously wrong. the photo in your second link calls the color "Carbongrey". The correct color would be "Graphite/Carbongrey".

Uncoated titanium is very sensitive to scratches. The advantage is that scratches can be polished out relatively easily.

Thanks for checking. I also believe that only the dark colors have a DLC coating. I checked the Garmin website and found the same situation for the previous models.

It is now clear that there is an error in the color description of the image. The picture shows graphite. And not carbongrey as the text underneath says.

Thanks! I am from Hong Kong and just checked the Garmin Hong Kong website. It seems they do not offer the model for sale; they only provide titanium/orange and carbon grey DLC/black options.
