Yes and yes.

The forum has been having issues with certain types of posts for at least half a year now. Certain content triggers an error on the backend (apparently due to Cloudflare spam / attack prevention measures), which often just looks like a mysterious failure to post from the user's POV.

Garmin fixed most of the problems for most users, so it looks like they are either unable or unwilling to fix the remaining issues, which only affect a tiny minority of users (like those of us who make long, complicated posts about app development or technical issues).

Here's a few things that tend to cause post failures, in my experience:

- too many parentheses: "(" and ")"

FIX: reduce or eliminate parentheses - try using square brackets instead: "[" and "]". Using too many parentheses is one of the top causes of post failures, in my experience

- post is too long

FIX: split long posts into multiple parts. This one is also a frequent culprit for post failures

- post contains numerals (like "1")

FIX: try spelling out numbers instead (like "one")

- post contains images that were copied and pasted

FIX: try using a third party image host instead (e.g. postimages.org, imgbb.com).

- images are too large

FIX: try resizing images to make them smaller

- post contains formatting such as bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, indentation, etc.

FIX: try removing any unnecessary formatting

All of the above things have caused rejected posts for me (including recently), and reducing/eliminating them has allowed the posts to go through.

Months ago, links and quoted text would also cause post errors, but those issues have been largely resolved.
