I have a Garmin Fenix 6X and I've read every guide there is on how to correctly register a VO2 max activity.
I exercise five times a week but mostly long hikes with heavy backpack. I know this doesn't meet the criteria for measuring VO2 max so I occasionally go for a run activity in hope of updating my VO2 max value on my device.
But it never updates and I can't understand what the problem is?
* I have a chest strap heart rate monitor
* I run for more than 15 minutes
* I have a constant heart rate above 70% for more than 10 min
* I use the activity Run in my device
* I have GPS activated
What also bothers me is that my VO2 max value is stuck at 38 in my profile and every time I open Garmin Connect on my phone I get this status that I'm "Poor" shoved in my face and I refuse to believe it's correct.
Any ideas?
