I once bought a Fénix 6 Pro Sapphire for its excellent GPS accuracy. I can't help but feel, based on numerous comparisons, that the GPS accuracy has decreased recently. Could this be caused by firmware updates?

The 6 series has never been known for excellent GPS quality due to its poor antenna design and sony chipset. There are several threads about this. Fenix 7 series is/was much better.
When I bought my Fenix 6, it was best in class. Of course later models have improved. But that's not the point here. The point is that GPS of my Fenix 6 is clearly not as accurate as it used to be. It looks like its downgraded. I'm looking for a cause.

Possible.
Could it be that Garmin is deliberately reducing the accuracy of older devices to create a need for a new device? Like Apple does?
Which device has the most accurate GPS today?
