Watch won’t pair with iPhone after software 28.02 update

I’ve tried all the usual methods: restart phone, restart watch, re-download connect app, delete Bluetooth connection in phone & remove device from app, synch watch using express on my pc, factory reset watch…. 

Seems like a problem with the software update - connect can “see” the watch, but pairing always fails… driving me nuts!

    1. Ensure the phone OS is on the latest version
    2. Uninstall the Connect Mobile…

    1. Ensure the phone OS is on the latest version
    2. Uninstall the Connect Mobile app
    3. Clear the phone cache and history
    4. Ensure the watch does not appear in the phone's Bluetooth menu. If it is, please remove the device
    5. Powercycle the watch and phone. To do this, hold the Light button until this shuts off. Then power on again
    6. Reinstall the Connect Mobile app
    7. Try the pairing again ( Be sure there are no other Bluetooth enabled device nearby)

    If you are not able to pair again, I would recommend trying a factory reset with these steps: 

    1. Ensure the watch is powered off.
      • You may need to hold LIGHTfor up to 30 seconds to turn the watch off.
    2. Press and hold BACK and START/STOP.
    3. Press LIGHT to power the watch on while holding these two buttons.
    4. After the first beep release START/STOP.
    5. After the second beep release the remaining button.

    If you are still not able to pair, I would recommend contacting Garmin Product Support.
