Battery runs out in a few hours after update to 28.2

yep, it was planned slowing down old devices probably.....

Same happened with my Fénix 6X pro. Updated to 28.02 sw version and since that the battery only lasts 4-5 days. I even turned off the oxygen sensor, but still. Previously it was 14-15 days. Quite annoying...

Yes, I experienced fast battery drain two times as well. However, currently it stabilized, eating avg. 0,6% per hour.

Dear Garmin,

Could you please give us a status update about the fast discharging batteries?! It has been 1+ months since the issue started. I would like to use my product as before, with 14-15 days of battery life. Not with 4-5 days. Will there be a firmware update where you address the issue? It would be nice if you would communicate about this, as if we were your customers maybe? Thank you!

@Garmin-Lauries Has anyone been given a solution olution/fix for this dilemma?

I am still running 27 and has no battery issues. Another user posted that he has no battery issue with 28.2. It sems like it is not affecting everybody. I read that someone downgraded back to 27.73 and it solved its battery drain.

I'm running 28.02 since April 2, no battery issues.

This issue is definitely not affecting everyone.

For me, the issue is appeared a few days ago and I don’t know why. I did not change my configuration.

I’m obliged to charge my watch every 2 days instead of 10-12 days…
