A few weeks ago my Fenix 6 pro solar intermittently would stop recording my sleep.
For example, a 7 hour sleep only recorded 5 hours worth of sleep data. I first noticed this when my training status displayed "No Status". This has progressed from an intermittent problem to days passing with 0 sleep data.
I have performed the following remediation steps without any change in behavior:
- Restarting watch
- Checking to see if battery saver was turned on - it was not.
- Toggling battery saver on and off again
- Removing/re-adding the sleep widget on my connect screen/app
- Performing a soft reset. When I attempted to bring it back up form the soft reset, it stuck on loading FIT files and I wound up having to perform a hard rest back to factory settings in order for my watch to boot up. I did not restore from a backup in case the backup saved a bad configuration causing the sleep data to not be recorded. I reconfigured my watch manually to the way I had it set up.
The issue persists - sometimes it records sleep data and when it does it never records all of it or records it incorrectly.
I contacted support who replied to my email nearly a week later saying they saw my watch was recording sleep data and told me they were glad that I had fixed my problem - even though it only recorded 6 of the 7.5 hours of sleep the previous night. I replied back, but I have a feeling posting here may be more helpful.
