Last week I had to reinstall my phone, than all the softwares including garmin. Few days ago my watch just rebooted without asking me, and did a firmware update. Now my problem is this, I dont wanted the update. More on, my watches bluetooth was off. No wifi network added to my watch either. Top of that, auto-update feature is off and it DID not asked me to accept the new firmware. Neverless IT did the update with a simple notification of the gear icon of new firmware progress bar. Is this how we roll now, Microsoft Windows style forced update without user intervention? Please provide the downgrade file for us. My watch reboots several times when i try to use garmin pay function with either of my bank cards, bluetooth music playing i popping and sometimes missing seconds, it mostly happens when using other functions like a training. Normally if i start the player with locally stored MP3, and go back to the watch face, few seconds later the playing stops. It is getting to a terrible level.

  • Did you connect the watch to a PC lately? Because Garmin Express does not care about your auto update settings. Anyway, find here the backdate file: https://download.garmin.com/gsup/006-B3290-00/27.73/full/rel/b19bd161-03ac-4c40-bbfa-ae6a8ed8dd94/Fenix6Pro_6ProSolar_27.73.zip

Be aware that this will reset your watch to factory settings.

I have tried. None of my devices recognizing the watch anymore. I cannot copy anything onto it, because i dont see it in file manager. I have garmin express installed on two windows 11 laptops and my windows 11 tablet as well, different cables. I have tried to switch between MPT mode and Garmin mode. In Garmin mode it just asks to connect it in mpt mode than nothing. Why it have to be this slow and deprecated ancient mpt protocol in a 2019 watch. A bit of correction.... it appeared for about 30 seconds and disconnected during file transfer. Its a very nice pull to obsolete a 6 years old titanium watch that was over £1000, with forced firmware update. Also battery life is terrible now it used to last about 25days offline if i were do gym session every morning, it lasted more than a week. Now it is 71% , and i took it off the charger this morning. Also moon phases are gone hailwire since the update. Sometimes full mon sometimes no moon, sometimes half moon, within few hour differences. Cool feature.
