Fenix 6s Suddenly huge battery Drain

Watch went from normal to crazy in one night, I noticed a suddenly huge dropping in battery drainage without doing or changing any setting. *** OS has always been off.

Tried factory reset, disconnecting from the phone and other stuff listed in forums and still nothing changed, it is still dropping 5% per hour.

The last days I noticed the same. I have a Fenix 6x pro and overnight it went from 50% to 10%. Normally after a full charge it should last 18 days without doing anything, but now only 5 days. Haven’t changed anything. Also tried resetting etc. to no avail. Very strange.

Same with mine. I used to get a good two weeks battery life on my Fenix 6X Pro Solar but overnight it dropped to about two days with no changes to settings.

Mine did the same. Showed Storm Alert then beeped every minute or so and hasn’t worked since. Solar storm maybe knocking out satellite?

Hello, I am sorry to hear you are seeing a rapid battery drain. Lithium ion batteries will show a decline in battery life after roughly 3 years of usage. If the device is newer than this, there are a few initial steps we recommend trying.

Clean the contacts on the back of the watch and cable. For this, we recommend using rubbing alcohol.
We also recommend trying a hard reset. For this, hold the Light button until the watch shuts off, as opposed to selecting power off.
Whether you recall making settings changes or not, it would be good to check for these settings than can lead to a faster battery drain. Maximizing the Battery Life

If there is no change, we would recommend trying a factory reset with these steps:

Ensure the watch is powered off.
- You may need to hold LIGHTfor up to 30 seconds to turn the watch off.
Press and hold BACK and START/STOP.
Press LIGHT to power the watch on while holding these two buttons.
After the first beep release START/STOP.
After the second beep release the remaining button.

To do a factory reset but it hasn’t worked. I get a blue triangle on the face and it alternates with Garmin Copyright blurb.

If the watch is still not working, you will want to contact Garmin Product Support, as the watch will likely need to be replaced.
