I have had Garmins for 10 years and currently mine is a fenix 5 plus and very happy with it. But persuaded my wife to get the 6 s and she took it for a short swim and it let in water. This is a lightly used watch (not bashed around like my 5). Anyway Garmin have said that it is out of warranty, and they will replace it like for like for £164. Given it was a £450 watch new less than 3 years ago - and they describe it as 100m water resistant - this seems ridiculous. Customer Service would not provide me with anyone to write to. For a top end/very expensive sports watch that is described as 100m water resistant - this is ludicrous. Surely they would want to check it?
