Why does Garmin Connect not let me send an event to my Fenix 6 pro?

Can you show which action results in the device shown as not compatible? What type of event is is?

I understand that a Race Widget has been added to the new watch models such as the Fenix 7 and Epix Gen 2. However, it seems that this functionality is no longer available on my Fenix 6 Pro, even though I was able to use it without any issues before. This means that I can no longer send any race events to my watch, something that was previously possible.

My question is whether it is correct that a function has been added, causing older watches like the Fenix 6 Pro to lose this capability. Until recently, I was still able to add race events and a training plan would be created for me. Unfortunately, this no longer works. I hope you can respond to this and explain why this change has been implemented.

I'm really frustrated by this, having just paid to trade my watch in for a refurb after it bricked. I'm hoping there is a way to get suggested race training functionality back... perhaps even with a third party app if needed? Any suggestions other than 'buy a new watch' would be welcome - as my watch is otherwise working well and should have another 5+ years in it...

Same problem here. Worked without any problems on my fenix 6. Since a few months not anymore. I bought the high end version for fonctionalities like this. Much frustration about this. Garmin-Laurie is there a workaround and Will this be fixed?

Due to the age of the Fenix 6, this is not likely to receive an update to support the Race widget. You can, of course, submit the recommendation for this here: https://www.garmin.com/en-US/forms/ideas/

I paid 1000 euro three years ago for this new watch.  It is not ok to stop supporting functionalities so soon. Both for financial  and sustainability reasons. I really hope this will be reconsidered.
