I have now Garmin 6x PRO, nothing wrong with it....but time goes by and maybe i'm fishing for something new, desires:
good visible - AMOLED screen?
new training status options etc
better GPS
good price, max 400€
Am I dreaming too much?

I have a 6 Pro. Also nothing wrong with it. Is it perfect? No. But it…
If you do not use navigation, a Fenix is overkill. If you want to stay with Garmin, a Forerunner 265 is enough. But be aware that Garmin has massive software problems currently, I cannot recommend getting…
I had a F6 and moved to the F7 family (F7, F7X) and I feel I do not need most of the features/"advantages". Even more, the F7 HR sensor does usually hurts my wrist bone so probably moving to F7 was a mistake…
oh and ECG is also a wanted feature.
Suunto Race
no ECG (not really usefull)
Are you not using the navigation features if the fenix 6x?

Yes, the screen could be brighter. But it's good enough, even outside.
Yes, the GPS could be better. But it's accurate enough to keep me on all the hiking trails I've been on in NA, EU and UK.
Yes, scrollable maps sound like a good idea. But the maps are so small that I can't read them on a watch face. So I continue to use my smartphone for that.
Yes, solar charging would be a useful feature. But I don't backpack anymore so I'm always near a charger. I also carry a small power bank to recharge my phone and watch in an emergency. I've only used it once or twice to recharge the phone, never the watch.
Of course Garmin will come out with new models every year that offer incremental improvements. But my philosophy is to use what I have for as long as it remains "good enough" for my needs. The same principle has served me well with all sorts of consumer goods like phones, PCs, TVs, etc. It's saved me €1000s. Learn to distinguish "wants" from "needs."
damn it you're so true ;)

I've just learned to resist marketing ********* ;)
That I can recommend without hesitation :)
I had a F6X Pro which I gave to one of my sons for his 25th birthday. I had positive feelings for this watch, but I used its map very rarely.
I kept Enduro (1), which has better battery in real life, its display visibility is just a touch worse than that of F6X. Although Enduro has some disturbing bugs like course colouring and ANT+ sensors drop while pacepro’ing.
Anyway what helps me with refraining from watch upgrade is that Lap+ CIQ datafield and its clones are not available for Enduro 2, F7, F7 Pro etc. So this df reminds me on a daily basis what I would lose. :-)
