Bug Bluetooth Fenix 6X Pro after Firmware 27.00 update

Hello developers,

I have C16 in-ear headphones (fcc id: 2AXEL-C5S) and since the update to the new firmware 27.00 (6a5363d) I can no longer connect them. I tried to retrain them completely but the watch can no longer find the headphones.

Please fix the BUGS urgently, running without music is no fun!!!

Unfortunately these reinstall software steps will only work on the newer devices, such as Fenix 7/Epix gen2. On the Fenix 6,  this will access a Developer menu, but reinstall software is not…

  • Are you saying OP (and the rest of us) can't do anything about this problem?

No. I am only saying that the reinstall software settings posted will not work on this watch.

For the headphone pairing concern, there are some troubleshooting steps we would recommend:

    • Ensure the watch is pairing and syncing successfully with a smartphone, as this will ensure the watch's Bluetooth software is in tact.
    • In the watch menu, remove the Bluetooth headset. Then try the pairing again.
    • Check with the headset manufacturer to ensure the headset software is up to date.
    • Try a hard reset on the watch. For this, hold the Light button until the watch shuts off, as opposed to selecting power off. Then power this on again. The retry the headset pairing.
    • Try the watch with another Bluetooth headset, preferably another model.

If this continues, you can also try a full factory reset using these steps:

    1. Ensure the watch is powered off.
      • You may need to hold LIGHTfor up to 30 seconds to turn the watch off.
    2. Press and hold BACK and START/STOP.
    3. Press LIGHT to power the watch on while holding these two buttons.
    4. After the first beep release START/STOP.
    5. After the second beep release the remaining button.
