My Garmin Fenix 6 does updates daily & GPS is off.....

I've got a Fenix 6. Since November its been weird. I had some issues with it resetting the steps and a factory reset fixed that. Now it does an update daily. I have checked with Garmin Express and it is showing the software is 26.00 and up to date. In November the GPS was off and showing I went twice as far as I actually did. Now, GPS is showing I'm doing half as much. It is also doing a GPS update after each activity. My battery also last about half as long as it used to. Anyone had these issues recently? Any fixes/helps?

    I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with the watch completing an update daily. I am happy to help you investigate this issue. First, I would recommend some initial troubleshooting steps. 

    • First for the battery drain concern, I would recommend cleaning the charging contacts on the back of the watch. For this, we recommend using rubbing alcohol. 
    • Next, I would recommend a hard reset. For this, hold the Light button until the watch shuts off, as opposed to selecting power off. Then power this on again. 

    If this continues, it is possible the GPS update file on the watch may be corrupted. I will reach out to you via Private Message with next steps to address this.
