Anyone else experiencing serious bluetooth connectivity issues very recently? I've had my fenix 6 pro since 2020 and since that time I have 3 phones (pixel 2xl, pixel 6 pro, pixel 8 pro). Until the past 7-10 days, I have only ever setup the bluetooth connection/pairing ONCE for each phone and then it ran for 1-2 years without seemingly ever having needed to be re-paired. I've had the pixel 8 pro since launch and from october until mid january i did not lose the pair once.
Starting a little over a week ago, I have had to re-pair the watch to my phone multiple times, sometimes multiple times per day. I'll look in the notification bar on my phone and it wants me to pair again. Sometimes I just have to go to the garmin connect app and then it tries to pair again and takes a second, other times it just completely loses the watch as a device in the app and I have to re-setup the watch with garmin connect, re-enter a new pairing code, and then walkthrough the tutorial where it wants me to setup a new device. Having to reconnect sometimes I get, maybe i don't have the watch with me (i have it on 99.9% of the time) and it is away from my phone, but for the app to just completely forget the device and want to set it up as new seems absurd.
Any thoughts on what is going on? It's not become super frustrating as I'll try to go for a run, map a new course and then when I'm ready to sync it to the watch as I'm walking out the door, I have to spend an extra 5 minutes trying to get it to connect and sync up again (and when it wants to set it up as a new device it takes forever). Something is up and must have changed, just not sure what. Will re-emphasize that it didn't become a problem with the new phone, I set it up the day I got my pixel 8 pro and it's been totally fine for 3.5 months with zero disconnects and now this mess.
