Disconnecting from phone

Hello! My watch has begin to disconnect from my android-phone several times each day. Earlier, the watch even reconnected automatically after the phone was in flightmode. But not amymore. Now I have to reconnect via Garmin Connect many times each day. Any idea for solution? Best regards Kjetil Sie.

  • I'll add on to this one. I have a garmin fenix 6s and a pixel 8 pro. I'm running Andoird 14 (updated as of June 24) and my watch is software version 27.00.

I also run into this issue where my watch will not stay connected via Bluetooth to my phone. It disconnects frequently and I have to use my andoird system Bluetooth or the garmin connect app to reconnect. I also run into issues where I decline location permissions, but my garmin connect app will share notifications asking for location permissions. I notice that my watch's battery life drains much faster while it is "trying to connect" which has become an issue.

  • I just notice that watch always disconnect

until one time it will not connect anymore, i already return my watch for inspection and repair

  • I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with this. For Bluetooth dropping concerns, I would recommend trying the following:

    1. Ensure the phone OS is on the latest version
    2. Uninstall the Connect Mobile app
    3. Clear the phone cache and history
    4. Ensure the watch does not appear in the phone's Bluetooth menu. If it is, please remove the device
    5. Powercycle the watch and phone. To do this, hold the Light button until this shuts off. Then power on again
    6. Reinstall the Connect Mobile app
    7. Try the pairing again ( Be sure there are no other Bluetooth enabled device nearby)

When pairing again, be sure to pair through the app.
