Ski Resort Maps Fenix 6X?

Aren't they preinstalled on your device? They should be. 

No they are not. Only golf courses unless they are somewhere I can't locate.  From what I can tell they are only available on the Pro version watches. 

Although it is not always explicitly written, all 6X models are "Pro". 

I would try to sync and update the watch with Garmin Express. That should install all map updates. 

Correct, I have a Fenix 6X Solar and my ski maps came pre-installed and automatically update. In fact, last week I received updated ski maps for the new season. I don't think there's a good way to look at them without actually being on the slopes and seeing those ski runs and chairlifts on your watch's map.
