Button of Fenix 6 pro does not click anymore, is there anyone who has successfully replaced a microswitch?

The "up" button of my 2.5 year old Fenix 6 pro does not work anymore. It does not click anymore. I have tried to soak it in warm slightly soapy water for 30 minutes but it did not solve the problem. There is a website where the watch is opened and I want to do this too. But first I need a replacement of the microswitch. Is there anyone who has successully replaced it? I assume you need to solder it?

I gave my old broken fr235 to a friend, he took it to a phone repair shop where they removed one button and transplanted it to his fenix 5 successfully. He doesn't wear it near water though

When you remove the old switch, you want to melt them off properly, do not bother saving it, do not pull it or force it. The board is very fragile if you pull a pad off…

Apart from the OP mentioning they had a problem 10 months ago and now likely have either solved it or given up, how is a link to a component wholesaler site going to help a consumer to obtain just a few of the exact right parts for their Fenix 6?

A good watch repair shop can check watches for water resistance with a pressure chamber, I believe.

I looked into this before, but replacing the microswitch might not work well. It requires precise soldering, and some people said the button still didn’t feel right after the fix. I’d recommend sending it to Garmin for repair or considering a new watch if the cost is too high.
