watch does not warn of incoming calls

Does the incoming call notification on your watch work correctly when you receive a call on your mobile phone? I have had the problem for quite some time that when someone calls me on my mobile phone it takes a long time for the call to go through on my watch. When I installed version 26, I did a hat reset to the watch so it is completely clean and yet the problem persists. I think I communicated this quite some time ago but like almost everything that is communicated to Garmin remains unresolved, that's why I'm asking the rest of the users if you have the same problem. My phone is an Android 12, Motorola g32 brand.

That seems to make sense, but I don't have an issue with texts/SMS or other notifications failing to appear on the watch, just phone calls. And the Phone app has unrestricted battery usage that I can't…

I see the same behaviour on my watch Fenix 6X Pro fw26. Tried with two different android phones but still the same delay which is usually enough for the caller to hang up

I'm on 24.10 and having that problem also (Pixel 7 on Android 13/14). I think it's been this way for a while.

This is so odd, but in that last couple of days I have been getting the phone call notifications. No idea why or how since I haven't changed anything that I'm aware of (maybe Garmin Connect updated on my phone). But I'll take it.

It's probably android's power saving ignoring "unrestricted" and "do not stop app if unused". I've been fighting with this since android 12. For example my syncthing app gets killed after a few days despite the above settings enabled and also if my battery is below 50% then the notifications from home assistant come through delayed (door bell notification 10-30 minutes after the fact) despite persistent notification enabled for that reason.

Could also explain why it sometimes works and why socorsu says it works fine on their iPhone
