I have this error all the time since update to 26.00, but sync works.
Same here. Sync works fine when I select Save but when I open Garmin Connect Mobile on my phone I get "sync failed" message on the watch.
Hey yes app is updated, noticed this for a while now - about a month or so. Seems to be intermittent, every 1 in 4 activities or so. Could be connected but sleep data seems to be out as well, sometimes…
Double check your Garmin Connect Mobile APP version is fully updated through your Apple APP store or Google Play store. Considering it goes through 10 minutes later, goes to say the .FIT file itself is not corrupt. It may have been something taking place briefly on our side briefly if it went away altogether.

I encouter also issues using the latest Garmin Connect App on Android - latest updates installed.
My watch stop syncing in the morning while being connected through BT to my phone. I tried to "reconnect" the phone in the app (deleted it in the BT settings and removed it in the app). Reconnecting did also fail 3 times and the 4th time I suceeded.
Restarted both phone and watch did also not help....
Sync through Wifi works though. Weird!

That sounds like my issue! Not ideal, and can’t find a reason for it. Like you said, restarting and all the rest have no bearing on the issue.
I restarted the app and watch multiple times and synced time using GPS after that it seems to have fixed the issue.
Do u, guys, use Garmin HRM strap?
Latest version on all my devices - v26 on Fenix6 Sapphire, Hrm Pro Plus v8.8, latest version of Garmin App on Android
