VO2max indoor rowing (Concept 2), Spinning (ICG7) and Cross trainer

Has anybody heard about a development concerning measuring VO2max in sports different from running, walking or (outdoor-) biking?

It seems that measuring and logging VO2max is only possible during running and cycling.

Or is there also this possibility for cross trainer and indoor rowing? If so, how is it initiated and reported for these sports?

Would be grateful for any advice.

In Runalyze, I see VO2Max is recorded for pool swimming,  walking and even for the generic "Other" activity (used indoors). The activities I checked were from Fenix 3, 6 and 7. Garmin Connect does not show the VO2Max from indoor activities or walks and swims (as far as I know, I use Connect only rarely) but it is in the FIT files. In Runalyze it is under "Fit details (by file)".

You can also use the FITcsv tool to retrieve the VO2Max, but it is not straightforward. Or program something yourself, but that isn't easy (unless you are good at programming).
