Garmin Fenix 6x pro solar charging not working after 26.00 update

Recently my Garmin Fenix 6x pro solar stopped working, stopped charging from solar light even leaving it for hours in the sun. I've been reading a lot about it and I can't find any solutions. The watch stopped solar charging after the 26.00 update. Talked to Garmin Customer Service and they asked for an OUTRAGEOUS 200€ price for a refurbished watch when is a known common problem for this model. Is there any options for this? Anyone has his watch and solar charging working again?? Anything would help!!!

I am sorry you have the issue.

Please try the following:

Soft Reset: Hold down your top left power button until your watch shuts off then let go of the button.

Reset to Defaults:

Did all of that. Several times. Nothing working. Doesn’t make any sense to have a watch this price, not that old, and stopping working it’s top-star-feature. Now what?? Paying 200€ on top of a grand for a watch??? Is that your solution?? For real??? C’mon, Garmin…

Try to downgrade, if it works with older System version then it's a software issue and you do not need to pay

You can try with 25.10 which was the latest Public release.

Put ".GUPDATE.GCD" file in the folder \Garmin

restart your watch, all your settings will be reset during the procedure

Thanks a lot. None of that did work, solar intensity still flat… I doubt it is a hardware problem but no software is apparently working. Hope it comes back to life (solar intensity) and Garmin sends a new update. Solar not mandatory but very annoying having it and not working. Again, thanks for your help!
