my watch is stuck in loading maps after i updated it via garmin express.
this was 2 days ago and i've been searching the internet since then for a fix.
ive done several resets but nothing seems to work.
after the hard reset the watch wont connect to the garmin connect via bluetooth and it then shows a tactics menu that i cant really use.
when i restart the watch (long pressing on/off) its stuck in loading maps again.
when i connect it to my pc (win11) the watch switches to "pc mode" and i can find it in my explorer and browse though the folders without any errors or anything.
yet garmin express doesnt find the watch. ive done a few reinstalls of garmin express, pc restarts, etc. i even tried it on a different pc (win 8).
the garmin webupdater finds the watch and i can update it there to 25.00 (it says) but that wont help either. why does the webupdater find the watch and garmin epress doesnt?
when i go into the test mode (pressing "down" button while starting) every hardware piece seems to work just fine. software version 26.00. i can even find it in my bluetooth devices on my phone in that mode.
it seems to me that after the hard reset the watch uses the tactix firmware/software that doesnt work on a fenix watch.
ive bought the watch in august 2021, which means i dont have any warranty. yet still this happened after an official update. something like that shouldnt happen. i am very frustrated right now...
